Tulip day: ‘share happiness’

On Saturday 15 January 2022 is National Tulip Day, the start of the tulip season.

The theme is ‘Share Happiness’: a happy bunch for yourself and one to make someone else happy. After all, shared joy is double joy.

Unfortunately, the largest picking garden on Dam Square in Amsterdam was canceled this year due to the new rules surrounding the pandemic.

Alternatively, a tulip boat with André van Duin sailed along the Amsterdam canals and growers got on their bicycles to surprise thousands of people in the city with colorful bouquets. Tulips are for sale everywhere from National Tulip Day.
